Events in London and surroundings: detail
From February 22 2008 to December 30 2008
The London Bridge Experience
The London Bridge, often mistaken for the more recognizable Tower Bridge, was the first bridge to cross the Thames, and can trace its origins as a meeting point with the city's Southern portion as far back as Roman times. During the city's long and rich history, the bridge has been the backdrop of countless events, tragic, decisive or simply curious.
This interesting exhibition follows the events witnessed by the structure, an experience made even more exciting thanks to actors dressed in era outfits who will greet visitors and guide them through the bridge's 2,000-year history, helped by incredible filmed scenes and computer graphic images of the characters related to the bridge, who will tell their own stories.
There is also an exhibition of archaeological artifacts to complete the visit, which becomes an original and educational cultural experience with surprises from every angle.
The last part of the path is reserved to those with courage. It is the visit to the London Tombs, the site where, during the works to build the attraction, hundreds of human remains were found, old victims of the plague. Workers swear having seen and felt strange things down there, and incredible reconstructions using special effects will make visitors who love strong emotions feel goose bumps.
The exhibition opens on February 22, 2008
